Volunteering
Join us as we work together to make a difference for people living with ME/CFS.
Everyone on the team at ME/CFS South Australia is a volunteer. Most of us have ME/CFS or care for someone with the illness. We rely on the generosity of volunteers to provide our wide range of services to South Australians living with ME/CFS, their carers and families.
Volunteering for your local ME/CFS Association can be really rewarding. I've been volunteering with my state Society for 3 yrs now and it really has been a gift. I've been able to contribute in a meaningful way and help many local MEeps from my bed.
I've made lifelong friends who understand exactly how it feels to be so sick and I feel productive again.
We welcome your contribution. There are roles to suit everyone, including work that can be done online.
Looking at our teams and the services we provide may suggest a role that matches your interests and skills. If you have an interest in something we currently do not offer, we are always open to new ideas and helpers.
Volunteering is rewarding. You have an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others while gaining new skills, knowledge and experience. Whether you choose to undertake a single task or join a team, work for a limited period or make a longer commitment, your help will be valued and assist in building a stronger organisation to serve our community.
The present team builds on the contributions of the many volunteers since our establishment in 1987.
