Artist profile

Craig
Craig Pickering - Adelaide, South Australia

I have had ME/CFS since 2016 and was forced to cease work in 2017. I enjoy reading, autobiographies and science fiction mainly, and I also enjoy writing. I started a blog when I became unwell and still occasionally write for it.

I am a gadget collector and love finding things that make my life easier. I also enjoy gaming when I have a bit of spare time which is not often enough.

Artist Comments

Image 1: I really enjoy learning about the latest technology and have been playing around with Artificial Intelligence (AI). When made aware of the horrendous suffering from ME/CFS even AI understands its impact.

Image 2: I am a cat lover. I recently farewelled my 20-year-old cat named Bacchus. He was there for me through all the challenges of the past eight or so years and he made sure I could look after myself before passing on. He had an amazing soul.

Description of the artwork

Image 1: An artificial intelligence generated photographic style image of a white woman with fair hair - head and shoulders. She has an anguished face, and her hair is blowing as if in the wind. She has orange fire and blue and grey smoke coming off of her as if she is the one that is generating the fire. She also has a kind of growing tendrils or a maybe lightning streaking across her face and shoulders.

Image 2: A beautiful fluffy cream and chocolate Birman cat with blue eyes stares at the camera.
